Saturday/Sunday
Details forthcoming re. Anna’s lasagna dinner …
Friday
Alain & Anne at Montigny - Piaggio bar and soirée dîner/apéro.
Thursday
Julie, Sun Ah and Liddy (with her bambino and her nephew, Johnny) stopped by Montigny after a forest lunch. Lots of laughs.
Wednesday
"The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time." - Bertrand Russell
Sunday
Surprise visit from Thierry, with Denis in tow, who’s in town from Toulouse for a few days (merci for the fine bottle of Les Pierres de Quéralla - aussitôt ouvert aussitôt vidé). Later the boys headed Montmartre-ward to scale the heights (or Kenzo’s).
Around 7:30 Gina and her friend Jerry (a M-D newbie) stopped by after their Montigny lunch and Fontainebleau château visit. Post-vino/palaver we headed to dinner at Le Mauritius. My first-time rougaille de gambas was very good … as were the other dishes. Comme d’hab!
Round ’bout midnight (actually 1:30am) re-Thierry (re-Denis in re-tow) until now … making the words of the Garth Brooks song, which I’m listening to now, come more than true:
Three thirty in the morning
Not a soul in sight
The city’s lookin’ like a ghost town
On a moonless summer night
Raindrops on the windshield
There’s a storm moving in …
Well, actually the weather’s holding BUT it is almost 3:30 … so not only does "the thunder roll", so do I! Salut.
‘Saturday
Another (very welcome) surprise visit/dinner in the same week - tonight t’was Geneviéve, who showed up with goodies galore for us three to consume!
Discussions about social networking, Parisian apartments (i.e. how to rent out an apartment), and worldwide terrorism. Are they linked? Calls to Puerto Rico (Brigitte) and Denver (Rob) netted us no replies (answering machines!).
For your comments - I understand, from a close source, that not everyone can add comments directly (seems you have to be a Friendster member!) … no problem (no need to join), just send me your comments (to: mindshare2000@yahoo.com) and tell me where to add them. Easy, eh?
Friday
Looking forward to tonight’s dinner at Florence’s … I suspect her a great cook!
Thursday
Ay, chihuahua! Dinner (me: chile con carne, les filles: steak tartare) at the Rosebud is always a treat … but nowhere near as much as seeing Carole again on her (too) SHORT, annual summer swing through town on her way from Vancouver to Verdun … hopefully we’ll go see her over there next year.
